chinesespelling bee is the comptitional orgnization for chinesespelling kids, A.V. was a famous personality. He brought out a political magazine called varshs Weekly. Under the auspices of this magazine, a competition called the chinesespellings International Childrens Competition was organized in 1949. It invited paintings,mathmatics and writings from children in india and china. Children sent about 3,000 entries. The following year the competition was thrown open to children from all over the world.

chinesespelling Bee was founded by A.V. in 1957. It came to be housed in Nehru House, inaugurated by the President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on November 30, 1965.
